Seasonal Golf Maintenance Technicians-FULL TIME

There are full-time seasonal Golf Course & Groundskeeper positions available for a spring start in the maintenance department of our two championship courses. These positions are 40+ hours/week, April-November, with hours generally 6:00AM–2:30PM during the week, along with a rotating weekend morning schedule.
There are also some Part-Time seasonal positions available with flexible schedules for those looking for just part time work.

Fitness and Aquatics and Recreation
Fitness & Aquatics Intern
The Quechee Club is looking for an Intern to work with their Fitness & Aquatics team during the summer of 2019. The ideal candidate will have experience in either fitness or aquatics and be looking to expand their knowledge and experience in both. Willing to certify in CPR, First Aid, AED, and Lifeguarding.
Full- and Part-Time Lifeguard positions available for pools (indoor and outdoor) and Lake Pinneo. Enforces aquatic regulations, responds to emergency situations, and participates in training.
Looking for candidates who have First Aid, CPR/AED certifications, Lifeguard Certification. We are willing to train the right candidates!
This is a non-exempt, seasonal position from May through September. Must be available to work varied hours including weekends and holidays.
Salary: $12.00 /hour
Seasonal Recreation Staff needed to fill a variety of positions in the Health Club and Recreation departments. Individuals will rotate through a variety of positions, including but not limited to Health Club Desk Attendant, Youth Programs, etc. Must be available to work weekends and holidays Positions available throughout the summer.
Must enjoy working with children, have strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and an ability to be flexible. Leadership and creativity a plus! Duties include, but not limited to: attendant, lead activities and groups, enforce rules in pool and Rec Center, etc.
Food & Beverage – Kitchen
The Quechee Club, a four season club located in beautiful Quechee, VT is looking for an experienced Sous Chef to work as second in command to our Executive Chef.
Job Summary (Essential Functions)
Serve as “second-in-command” of the kitchen. Assist the executive chef in supervising food production for all food outlets, banquet events and other functions at the club. Supervise food production personnel, assist with food production tasks as needed and assure that quality and cost standards are consistently attained.
III. Job Tasks (Additional Responsibilities)
Prepares or directly supervises kitchen staff responsible for the daily preparation of soups, sauces and “specials” to ensure that methods of cooking, garnishing and portion-sizing are as prescribed by standardized recipes.
Assists the executive chef with monthly inventories, pricing, cost controls, requisitioning and issuing for food production.
Assumes complete charge of the kitchen in the absence of the executive chef.
Assists executive chef with supervision and training of employees, sanitation and safety, menu planning and related production activities.
Consistently maintains standards of quality, cost, eye appeal and flavor of foods.
Ensures proper staffing for maximum productivity and high standards of quality; controls food and payroll costs to achieve maximum profitability.
Makes recommendations for maintenance, repair and upkeep of the kitchen and its equipment.
Prepares reports, arranges schedules and costs menus and performs other administrative duties as assigned by the executive chef.
Personally, works in any station as assigned by the executive chef.
Helps plan energy conservation procedures in the kitchen.
Assists in the development of training and the provision of professional development opportunities for all kitchen staff.
Consults with dining service personnel during daily line-ups.
Assists in maintaining security of kitchen, including equipment and food and supply inventories.
Assists in food procurement, delivery, storage and issuing of food items.
Expedites food orders during peak service hours.
Supervises, trains and evaluates kitchen personnel.
Coordinates buffet presentations.
Checks mise en place before service time and inspects presentation of food items to ensure that quality standards are met.
Reports all member and guest complaints to the chef and assists in resolving complaints.
Monitors kitchen employees’ time cards to ensure compliance with posted schedules.
Submits ideas for future goals, operational improvements and personnel management to executive chef.
Understands and consistently follows proper sanitation practices including those for personal hygiene.
Attends staff meetings.
Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the executive chef.

Event Sales Coordinator
The Quechee Club, one of Vermont's Premier Country Clubs is looking for an experienced Events Sales person to add to our fabulous team!

The Event Sales Coordinator promotes the Club’s facilities among the membership for private banquets/outings, business and other member-related activities This position requires an individual to be professional in appearance and of a positive attitude with excellent communication skills.
We are looking for someone with:
At least 2 year of Resort/Hotel or preferably Private Club catering/event.
Knowledge of social etiquette.
Demonstrated creative menu development skills.
Strong technical literacy including Microsoft Office products, Adobe PageMaker and InDesign.
Organizational skills and attention to detail.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and evening hours.
Progressive management experience in food and beverage operations, including budgetary and supervisory responsibilities.
Previous restaurant, hotel or country club experience is preferred.

Our Bartenders prepare and serve beverages to members and guests according to established
recipes and in adherence with State of Vermont and Club regulations. This is a part time position.

Maintenance and Facilities
The Security Guard position is to provide property, building and personal security to safeguard the assets of the Club and to ensure safety to employees, members and guests.
Secure premises by patrolling property, inspecting buildings and equipment to ensure the security, safety and well-being of all personnel, members and visitors.
Monitor Club property and buildings to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of all doors and windows.
Investigate and report all suspicious activity on Club property.
Monitor heating, cooling, alarm and electrical systems to protect against water leaks, fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry or trespassing.
Maintains relationships with local law enforcement and notifies them of incidents.
Prepares daily security report
Assists with crowd control and parking at large Club events, when needed.
Reports any safety or maintenance issues
Complies with all QLLA polices as outlined in the Core Policy Guide and maintains s a professional demeanor at all times while representing the club.
Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Training:
Military, policy or security experience.
HS Diploma or GED
Knowledge, Skills, Ability:
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Customer service experience.
Sound judgement and decision-making skills.
Valid Driver’s license
Experience with Microsoft products.
Ability to lift up to 60lbs. Position requires extended periods of walking on a variety of surfaces, sometimes in limited lighting. Ability to balance, stoop, reach, stand, walk, lift, grasp, talk and hear. Visual acuity to perform an activity where the seeing job is at or within arm’s reach. Subject to environmental conditions: activities occur both inside and outside in a variety of weather and temperatures.
Must be able to pass a background check
This is a part time position working approximately 9PM-2AM Wednesday-Sunday, 25 hours a week. Position may require additional hours during the summer and winter months, school vacation weeks and some larger Club events. Applicant will need some flexibility. Limited time off May through October.
