A True Vermont Winter Wonderland

Winter at The Quechee Club offers fun at every turn. With more than just the ski area to keep you busy, The Club offers a variety of winter sports, events and activities for all ages. From our illuminated ice skating pond, to horse-drawn sleigh rides and snow sculpture competitions, you will enjoy all there is to experience in a Vermont winter!

Sledding

Open to all and free of charge, the Quechee Sledding Hill is the hill behind The Base Lodge on the 18th fairway of the Highland Golf Course. This area is the only one which is maintained for sledding during daylight hours. Fun for all, please sled only inside the fenced, groomed area. Please bring your own sleds as there are no sled rentals on site.

Please note, for your safety: Sledding can be a dangerous sport and all who participate do so at their own risk. Many hidden obstacles can exist, and all participants should sled in control at all times to avoid collisions. Children should be supervised by an adult, and the conditions should be considered carefully prior to sledding. Sleds with some form of steering are suggested for safety reasons over tubes and other equipment that have limited steering ability.

Sledding is prohibited on the Ski Hill slopes and trails at all times, day and night, whether the ski area is open or closed. Daytime sledding is offered on our sledding hill when our Ski Hill is in operation. Nighttime sledding is not permitted on the sledding hill unless in an organized event sponsored by The Club.

Snowshoeing

When snowshoeing in the Cross Country areas, please stay outside of the groomed tracks, and avoid crossing greens/tees on the golf course.

There are many trails in Section 5 available for the wilderness experience. Please avoid the groomed ski tracks here as well. Traveling alone is not recommended, but if you do, please alert someone as to where you are going and when you anticipate returning. Section 5 is not patrolled, and the woods can be a cold and lonely place if you get hurt or lost. Maps are available at Membership Services or The Base Lodge and are posted on trees throughout the area.

Ice Skating

Available at The Quechee Club, located on the pond of Lakeland Hole #1, weather and conditions permitting. Check ski reports for current conditions or call Membership Services at (802) 295-9356. Skating is at your own risk.
