We will try to keep the cancellation of practice to a minimum.

  • Fees & Expectations
    • Fee

$200.00 includes coaching, all practice times, swimsuit, t-shirt, and meet entry fees.

      Expectations

Swimmers are required to attend a minimum of 3 practices per week.  Consistently attending practice allows a better chance for stroke development and time improvement.  Practices are offered 6 mornings per week and 2 evenings.
All swimmers will be registered in all regular season meets.  Please inform the coach as soon as possible if a swimmer is unavailable for a meet.  Swimmers are required to participate in a minimum of 2 regular season meets.

      QST BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS

All swimmers are to arrive on time and ready to swim.  Disruptive and/or uncooperative behavior will not be tolerated.  If disruptive/uncooperative behavior is displayed the swimmer will be given 1 verbal warning to stop the behavior. If the disruptive/uncooperative behavior continues and becomes a pattern, the swimmer will meet with the coach and parents to discuss their intentions toward the team, their swimming goals, and their future with the team.
After discussion, swimmers wishing to continue may be required to have a parent present at all practices to ensure appropriate behavior.

Note: Responding to disruptive/uncooperative behavior takes coaching time away from other swimmers. Reduced time from coaching reduces the opportunity for other swimmers to improve their strokes, starts, turns, and times.
  • Additional Meets
    • View the Qualifying Times for the State Meet by clicking here

Rutland Sprints, SVSL Championships, and VSA States are additional meets. They require additional fees. Any swimmer signed up for any of these meets and does not have an excused absence will reimburse the team for the fees paid for that swimmer.

All swimmers will swim in events determined by the coaches. Events will be selected based on what is in the best interest for the team.

Parents of swimmers are required to participate in a minimum of 4 regular season meets either as a timer or a Stroke and Turn Official. Training will be available.

Note: Each team in required by the VSA and SVSL by-laws to provide a specific number of volunteers for timing and Stroke and Turn. An insufficient number of volunteers will require a fine to be paid and the possibility of forfeiting the meet.

Pre-season practices offered to registered swimmers.
