  • W.I.L.D
    • Ages: 10 - 17
      Date: August 14 - 20 Overnight Trip

Short for Wilderness Instruction Leadership Development, the WILD program was started in Bolton MA by Still River Outfitters, and with a brand new partnership we are bringing this amazing program to the Quechee Club.  This Youth Outdoor Leadership program promotes instruction, leadership and development in wild places.

The outdoors is an incredible classroom. Our WILD Program takes the wonder of wild places, adds in accomplished professional outdoor educators, and produces a youth program like no other – anywhere! Our goal is to give kids a window into what the world is without the distractions of modern life, pride in what they can accomplish as individuals and as a member of a close team, all while having a long lasting positive effect on the community.

This has been one of Still Rivers most successful programs since their first WILD day paddle in September 2009.  This program is extra special.  Our instructors turn into coaches, as the kids gain experience they take a leadership role for the program.  More experiences members mentor newer members with technical skills and more importantly support and are a close friend to rely on.  We paddle often, work on skills constantly, run races, participate in festivals, go on extended trips, build both friendships and an addiction to a healthy outdoor lifestyle.  This program is just way too much fun!

The WILD overnight is the highlight of this amazing program.  Kids will spend the week traveling around New England, all while paddling and developing advanced whitewater kayak skills.  Lodging is in Tents at local parks and campgrounds, all food is provided and cooked by the students, and we can arrange pick up or drop off at either the Quechee Club or Bolton MA.

**Participants must have attended our Whitewater Immersion Camp or a similar whitewater instructional program approved by a WILD Coach.
